FNA 115 Spring, 2010   Preparation for your final exam

Prof. D. Talley

For a grade of “A” you must have completed three concert reviews, returned the mid-term, completed the mid-term listening test, and done your semester oral report.

The final exam will be 50% listening test and 50% will cover the subjects discussed this semester.  Please expect one question on I Pagliacci and some knowledge of the composers presented in the oral reports.  If you do reviews of three concerts you will not be required to take a written final. However, you will receive the grade earned with the work completed.  Those reviewing more than 2 concerts will receive 10% increase in their grade for each concert review submitted and will also receive extra points if they elect to take the final exam.

Be prepared to tell the approximate dates of the composers listed below, give a short biographical sketch, and explain their unique contribution to music.  (I will probably choose only a few composers)
